New listeners in Sri Lanka brought us to a big milestone this week when we realised that we’d reached our 100th listener country.
The podcast’s first release was its Series One trailer back in March 2021, and since then, the show has continued to increase its growth in downloads (the official measure, rather than ‘plays’) with each series, and it has charted in Apple Podcasts’ ‘Top Shows’ charts for History in eight countries.
Series Five made a leap in momentum with its download trend, and so as it heads towards the sunset; having brought us fantastic contributions from guests Jenni Phillips, Michal Razus, Kim Brengle, Paul Chiddicks, Fiona Brooker, John Erickson, and Kelly Cornwell, we say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who played an episode or eagerly listened to each one on the day of release. We say a ‘thank you’ to all those who have told friends about the show, and shared it on social media too.
To the new listeners in Sri Lanka we send our gratitude, and a warm ‘Hello, and welcome to The Family Histories Podcast!‘. There is more to come…
Thank you.
Andrew
